Design Technologies
Together with HASSELL’s head of design and BIM leaders we carried out research and development for a company-wide Revit template. The aim of this style guide was to improve capabilities and the efficiency of front-end design-focused output.
The intention was to create a software-neutral Revit style guide, that enables users to consistently create beautiful-looking design drawings, diagrams and renderings (with the Enscape plugin) directly in Revit, with little to no post-production in other software platforms.
Accompanied by a kit of tools and training materials, this Revit design template and style guide allows for much-improved visual output and greater efficiency across all HASSELL studios.

Drawings & Diagrams
Diagrams are often created with a mix of software packages, with individual users developing bespoke techniques for each project. This led to inconsistent results and made it difficult for other users to make revisions at a later date.
Here are examples of concept diagrams we developed in Revit to test the techniques and workflow.

Renderings
Renderings were mostly created in 3DMax, Rhino or Lumion but rarely directly in Revit. Using the Enscape plugin we developed materials and rendering techniques that enabled users to generate beautiful and consistent rendering output directly from Revit.
Developing these processes overcame the need for users to constantly export/import and re-export/import modes for renderings, reducing the reliance on other software platforms and saving ime. [or streamlining design processes.
Here are examples of renderings we prepared to test the techniques and workflow.
